The app I came up with would fill your tank in your
vehicle full of gasoline. By just pressing a few buttons, your car will take
off for the nearest gas station where it will be filled with the gasoline of
your choice. Through the latest technology your vehicle will remember the route
you take to the closest gas station, under five miles. You choose what kind of
gas you would like pumped in your vehicle and pay by credit card through the
app itself. On completing your transaction the gas station will be notified of
the purchase so they can be ready to pump your fuel upon your vehicles arrival.
Your vehicle will know when the fuel has been pumped when the clerk closes the
door to your gas tank. Your vehicle will then start and return safely home to
you. Your vehicle will be installed with sensors all around the outside so
it’ll detect an object from different ranges up to 1000 feet. The app itself is
free, with purchase of sensors and computer chip to run your vehicle of course.
Everyone everywhere will have this app, just not anyone that lives further than
five miles from a gas station. With every purchase of gas a ten percent
additional fee will be added for the use of the app along with a three percent
tax. Hurry while supplies last. Never
have to wake up and leave early for work, school, or anywhere so you can fill
your tank first. Just set the weekly reminder for your vehicle to go get a tank
full of gas. This means you’ll never be running late for anything again. With a
full tank a gas every time you leave the house, nothing can go wrong.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics
I was born in 1990, making me gladly a part of the
Millennials or Generation Y. Being a part of this generation means I have grown
up in a world completely filled with all sorts of technology from cellphones,
satellite TV, iPads, to the internet and online social networks for communicating
with others across the world. I don’t think a lot of people from this era would
really know how to live without the use of technology. It has become so common
in our everyday lives; nobody even stops to think about how amazing this
technology truly is. I’m definitely a part of the 91 percent on the internet
and the 77 percent on social networking sites, but wouldn’t agree to be in the
71 percent using instant messaging. I’m always travelling and meeting new
people from all across the world. It’s a huge luxury being able to just add a
person you meet on Facebook and catch up with them later. Everybody’s so busy
in their own lives and you in yours that you feel you just don’t have the time
to call all these people you meet to keep in touch with them. It even becomes
too much to text sometimes. So we add each other on Facebook, from there anyone
can see what I’ve been up to with recent pictures and posts and I can do the same
with them. Then when the time comes when you can see that other individual
again, you’re able to get in touch and feel like you haven’t forgot who this
person is. You are also able to meet amazing people from around the world using
the web and may never even meet them in person, that’s the amazing thing about
the world we live in now.
Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good
After finding many companies that give back to charities, I
found one that I felt stuck out from the rest. FEED is the name of the company
and for every sell they make from bags, accessories, and even apparel, a part
of the money goes to feeding hungry children around the world. They have
partnered with the UN World Food Programme and The United Nations Children’s
Fund, along with DonorsChoose.org, Room to Read, Millennium Villages, Doc 2
Dock, and Edesia. Lauren Bush designed a bag back in 2006 to benefit the United
Nations World Food Programme’s School Feeding program and that’s what got FEED
started. In 2007 production of these bags started and FEED Projects LLC was
founded by Lauren Bush and Ellen Gustafson. For each bag sold a child in school
would be fed for a year. In 2008 the FEED Foundation started to support
programs and organizations that are working to fight hunger across the world.
Since opening in 2007 FEED has been successful in giving 60 million school
meals to children around the world, 46,000 children with nutrition supplements,
and 13,000 children in American received healthier school meals. They were also
able to with feeding people in Haiti after their major earthquake and Japan
after their major earthquake. This couldn’t have been done without the help
from their retail partners including GAP, Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com,
American Eagle Outfitters, Whole Foods, and many more. Hunger is the number one
on the world’s top ten health risks list, meaning one in seven people go to bed
hungry every night in this world. I think what FEED is doing is beyond amazing
and with more companies helping feed the hungry like them, it moves the world
one step closer to being rid of malnutrition and the hungry.

Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games
First I’ll start with the X-box 360 and the PS3. I have
placed them both in the cash cow section. In an article done by William D’Angelo,
the year to date sales are shown in comparison from 2010 to 2013. "In 2011 X-box
sold 5.8 million consoles where the PS3 sold 7.2 million. In 2013 those numbers
drop to 3.5 million for X-box, a 39.7% drop and 5.2 for PS3, a 26.9% drop."(http://www.vgchartz.com/article/251339/2013-year-on-year-sales-and-market-share-update-to-september-28th/)
I put in cash cow because I don’t see any growth in the
market but I don’t see a lot of gamers being able to afford the new X-box One and
PS4, leaving them a high relative market share. I place both the X-box One and
the PS4 in the star category for a few reasons. They’re both new and have many
pros and cons, but I don’t think the main focus of sales will come from the
United States. China recently lifted a ban that prevented the sale of video
games. The ban was made back in 2000 because of the public complaining video
games would rot their children’s minds. "The lifting of the ban means that companies like
Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony will now be able to actively market their
products to China’s population of 1.35 billion people. Such a large consumer
base could significantly alter the types of games that we see coming to market." Aaron Colterhttp://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/chinas-13-year-ban-on-video-games-and-console-sales-set-to-end/#ixzz2hMvBOQXG
I place the Wii in the dog category. There were only about 1.2 million
consoles sold this year. I believe it’s a gun console for a young family, but
not many gamers are interested. The Wii U came out and failed miserably. I
think game systems like the Oculus Rift, a virtual reality headset for 3D
gaming, and the smart phone and tablet games will be what’s coming next. I’d
place them in the question mark because there isn't a big market for them yet,
but they could grow to be huge. “In terms of long-term outlook, the real
difficulty is in handhelds because people gravitate towards tablets and mobile
phones,” Woo says. http://business.time.com/2013/02/11/game-over-why-video-game-console-sales-are-plummeting/#ixzz2hMyE7Odx

Week 1 EOC: My Voice
I’m not just another music producer on a journey to stardom.
I’m going to use the knowledge I hold about life and the motivation I wake up
with daily to one day change the world. Taking it one day at a time, I’m always
staying positive and professional. I never miss a deadline and staying on time
for everywhere I have to be. I won’t waste your time and expect you not to
waste mine. I don’t do this for the money or the glory of being an all-star DJ.
I make my music to inspire and touch the lives of millions, to keep this
movement of music we’re in going strong, and to bring happiness to people all
over the world. I will continue to bring people together to eventually throw
the world’s biggest global gathering of people. I will throw 13 music festivals
in 13 separate countries across the world at the same time, while also paying
for 10,000 people from each country to go for free. This is why my journey
starts with music, but I’ll finish doing so much more. I believe the dreams you
set out to accomplish make you who you become and can turn anyone into a great
individual. You make the choice to keep putting in the effort and you’ll do
anything, even if it is as big as changing the world.
Week 1 EOC: Great Costumer Service
Earlier this year I moved to Henderson, right before
starting school, and ran into a huge problem with my phone service. I didn’t
have any bars of service almost everywhere in my house. This was a huge problem
for me because my cell phone was my only source of a telephone. I use Sprint
for my cell phone provider and have always been satisfied with their service,
all the way down to the bill being under $100 and unlimited everything. It took
me a minute to connect to an actual person when calling Sprint to deal with my
problem. When I did get connected with somebody, I ended up losing the call in
the first five minutes. Within a minute I received a phone call back and a
voicemail from the nice lady I had been speaking with. With the little bit of
information she could piece together before our original call dropped, she
already knew my problem. Listening to the voicemail, she had informed me that an
antenna I could set up in my house and link up to four separate cell phones to
was being shipped to me and I would receive it in just a couple weeks. She
stated I would have received the antenna sooner, but they were in back order. I
received the antenna and have never been happier. I only had to call the one
time and didn’t have to threaten to switch phone providers or talk to a manager
to get what I wanted. The antenna itself and the shipping were all free of
charge as well. The only real downfall through the entire situation was how
long I had to wait, makes me think I’m not the only one with bad phone
reception in my home.
